Done Wright Bio

Done Wright was born in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, and raised in Jamaica “South Side”, Queens. Growing up watching rap pioneers such as Rakim, Nas, Jay Z and B.I.G; he became motivated to be a rapper. As a youngster he would watch the park jams since they were right across the street from his house and became more influenced by Hip Hop. Even though growing up being surrounded by thugs, drugs, and violence he was so deep into the music that he was able to dodge the negativity that came with living in a poverty stricken environment. Done Wright attended George Westinghouse High School in Downtown Brooklyn, a vocational High School also attended by great rappers such as Jay Z, The Notorious B.I.G and Busta Rhymes. His debut album “Penny 2 A Million” was released on Lighthouse Music Group in December of 2009 which is currently on iTunes. He has been featured on countless mixtapes and his previous mixtape “Destined For Greatness” (hosted by DJ Vlad) was rated 4.5 stars in issue #11 of Coast 2 Coast Magazine. Coast 2 Coast Magazine described Done as having a “cool and confident flow, displaying solid content and a catchy kind of style”. Done’s new music video “Free” is currently airing on Power Play Music TV and numerous broadcast & cable TV programs through out the U.S. and Canada! His prior videos have been featured on top premier websites and countless blogs. He has performed at numerous venues throughout the tri-state area and his current single “Free” is now receiving worldwide radio airplay and peaked at #85 on the National Airplay Top 200 Chart. Done Wright has worked with artists such as GLC (formerly of G.O.O.D Music), Gudda Gudda (YMCMB), & more.
